We all know that life is short and only we can change our daily life to make it and shape it in the way we want to live. But we also know that this life is full of marvelous distractions, that can suck us in and not let us go.

We go about our day, doing what we need to do, and in an instant, we catch ourselves wasting precious time on things that drain our physical and mental energy.

These things can creep up, without us even knowing or realizing it. We all do them, and not all of us know how to stop doing them. And we spend days on days doing these things, and they leave us feeling drained and unmotivated to go on about our daily life.

Here they are, and here are a few tips on how to cut the vicious cycle apart.

Comparing Yourself to Others

We all do it, some of us don’t even realize that we do it, but it has become a part of our lives at this point. Internet being so accessible to everyone has made this a daily part of our lives, whether we want it or not.

We see somebody else living the life of our dreams and we compare, we make ourselves feel small and unworthy, and by doing so we damage our capability of living from day to day and enjoying it. We pour negative self-talk on ourselves, and it becomes a normal thing to do. But it shouldn’t be this way.

We all are different, we have gone through different things in life, and we never know what others had to go through to get where they are.

And for the most part, if we have enough will to change things around, it is double, we can do it, we just need a little push, a little nudge to change things and to keep changing them to our advantage and build the life we want.

Comparing has never done anybody anything good, except giving them the needed push to change and do better, but for the most part, we can’t see that, and all we do is pity ourselves, talk negatively about ourselves and make ourselves small and invisible.

How to change that:

Practicing positive self-talk can go a long way and change things around. Daily positive…
